Congress Representatives
As The Congress forges new partnerships with allied groups in pursuit of its objectives, it continues to represent the interests of members through established links to organizations that share common goals.
SWSC has representatives on both the Board of Governors and the Advisory Council for Surgery of the American College of Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Surgery. The strategic alliance with The Southeastern Surgical Congress and our duel representation in the American College of Surgeons governing bodies adds to our influence on behalf of members.
In their SWSC roles, our representatives argue for positions beneficial to general surgeons on matters such as national practice guidelines, managed care, physician reimbursement, Medicare payment reform, professional liability, credentialing and national practice guidelines for general surgery.
Below are the SWSC Fellows representing your interests. You are welcome to direct your issues or concerns directly to SWSC’s respresentatives or contact SWSC Headquarters at 913.402.7102 or swsc@lp-etc.com
